Bolívar, a brand established before the Cuban Revolution in 1902 by José Fernández Rocha, is renowned for its full-strength cigars, crafted using premium tobacco from the Vuelta Abajo region. Notably, in the 1990s, this brand gained prominence for a particular cigar size which was revived in 2006. This revival led to the distinction of being the first Cuban cigar to be acclaimed as the best cigar of the year by Cigar Aficionado.
